Web Experience / Segments / Topics

The concept of web experience is that various CRM or legacy data can be imported and applied to website content. This integration also allows for users on your website to have content they are interested in prioritized or filtered in Article and Event Lists.

Expansions

Web experience has been expanded from a single categorization into several with different intended purposes.

• Web Experience - integration with Areas of Interest in AM4
• Web Topics - integration with legacy website archives for categorization by content topic
• Web Segments - integration with custom user audience segments, for theme and content options based upon variable criteria, such as age groups, or professional status

Managing Web Categories

You can manage all web categories in the CMS under the Content > Experience tab. Using the drop down you can select between: Web Experience, Web Topics, and Web Segments.

Assigning Web Categories

Web categories can be assigned to content for prioritization against the user, categorizations, filtering, and sorting. To assign web categories to content, edit the draft of a page in the CMS, then use the Experience tab and check any categories you'd like the content associated with.

Assigning Web Segments

Web Segments can be assigned automatically by request for specific criteria, by user selection as a preference for content audience or website style/theme, or manually using the CMS User Editor.  Contact support for installation of various features on the website.

Listing Content

Using an Article List plug-in you can select various criteria to create a listing based upon:

• User Web Experience (Areas of Interest in AM4) prioritization or filtering
• Content Web Topics for prioritization (such as featured content appearing on top) or filtering for category listings
• User Web Segments (UD field in AM4) prioritization or filtering

Web Segments Theming

Web segments can be used for defining an audience as well as being applied to customized website theming.
